Taiwan Tales - Taipei

The main reason I do my job is to explore new places, some of which I may never have thought to visit. Taipei is one of those for sure so my excitement levels were pretty high for this trip. Just that feeling of wandering round a city that is so different to what I am used to just makes me smile. When I arrived I went for a walk around the local neighbourhood and stocked up on random food before getting an early night for the next day's hike. As usual I wanted a good view of the city so Elephant Mountain it was. After huffing and puffing our way up The Xiangshan Hiking trail, climbing the rocks at the top and nearly getting blown over, we had the perfect view over Taipei and the Taipei 101 building.

French Fancie - Nice

Even though this day was a while back it really does deserve a mention. One of my favourite photo diaries yet. My morning in Nice, Sep 2013. I've always had a big fascination over anything French and the south is one of my top 5 destinations. I woke up nice and early, rented a bike and cycled up the promenade to walk around the castle. I do love a good bike ride. The castle had many views overlooking the city and a beautiful waterfall at the top a hike I'm very grateful I made the effort to do. The main thing that stood out to me about Nice which I just adore was how the beach is still full of groups of people until 10pm, everyone happy, just being on that pretty pebble beach!

Wearing, as previously mentioned.. Top, Skirt and Shoes all from Topshop. Pink bag by The Cambridge Satchel Company.
A very British outfit.

Dreaming - Sydney

Always. Dreaming of my favourite city as per usual. The place I'm happiest to visit and saddest to leave. Here is  my photo diary from a recent trip to Sydney, one of my best trips there yet. The timing couldn't have been better as I was able to spend one of my best friends Birthday's with him. To Celebrate we went on a day trip to Gordon's Bay, such a beautiful little beach with clear blue waters. As it is situated along the Bondi to Coogee walk we decided to do 'the walk' back to Bondi. Well, that was entertaining. I have no idea how but we somehow managed to take a wrong turn, I mean the no entry sign should have been a big enough warning! After traipsing though bushes and swamps the beautiful views of Bondi beach came into sight. We then watched the sun go down whilst having dinner in one of the many cafe's situated along side the famous beach. All in all, a perfect day and a perfect example of why I'm so in love with this city. Another massive attraction to me is the Australian shopping. My style to a t. The most satisfying shopping trips I've ever had have been in this country.

A Day Bursting with Colour - Cinque Terre

One of the first things that came to my mind when I knew Italy was on the cards.. The Cinque Terre. After admiring many photos of these cute little villages, I was on track to ticking off another 'must see' that was high up on my list. Pastel Paradise on the cliffs of the Italian Riviera! We started off at the top with Monterosso and worked our way down to my personal favourite Manarola, stopping in at Vernazza on the way. Vernazza had the most going with many local shops and restaurants, but the view of Manarola is like no other. We used the train as our transportation which was perfect, only taking a few minutes to pass from one village to the next. This also showed off the villages from a far all lined up along the coast line. Wow! No wonder this place is a MUST SEE! To make the day even more special was the fact I got to spend it with one of my all time favourite people - my Nan!

Wearing: Wildfox Twiggy sunglasses (again, yes I like these very much), Toby Heart Ginger top, Princess Polly Boutique. White floral skirt, Topshop. Along with jade green sandals, Zara.

Floating Around Florence

As my Nan fancied a trip to Tuscany this year, off we went. With my DianaF camera to capture the sights we were ready to go. Starting in the beautiful city of Florence, we spent the first day roaming the streets to take in all the picturesque sights the city had to offer. What we found… LEATHER! So much leather everywhere, from market stalls to high end shops this city was just full of Leather. With me being such a big fan of view points I always do my research on the best places to get a view of the city from above. Two in particular stood out to me, first of which was the Piazzale Michelangelo where we sat and watched the sun go down on our first evening. Secondly the Campanile, 414 steps up and situated right besides the Duomo this gave more of a close up view of the city and its many red rooftops. This we saved for the second day so we had more energy for all those steps. Another Florence sight that amazed me had to be the Ponte Vecchio, I mean a bridge full of jewellers, WOW! On a whole we most definitely enjoyed what Florence had to offer.

Day 1. Wearing vintage inspired floral dress with lace collar found on a stall in Spitalfields Market in London, along with my all time favourite tan backpack.

Day 2.  Wearing my beloved Wildfox twiggy sunglasses that just seem to finish off all my outfits perfectly. Lilac checked smock dress found on asos.com and mustard yellow shoes from Urban Outfitters.

A Positive Read

I love finding beautiful books, inside and out. Found in the cutest book store, Oscar and Friends, located in Surry Hills, Sydney this is exactly that. 'Love, Love Me' by Marianne Vicelich is full of positive and inspirational quotes along with the prettiest decor. Of course this was found in my favourite country and one day to be home Australia. It was the perfect read for my little outing to Fremantle today.
